@Ricofedirico, while it may have been OkCupid ’s intention to suggests that because of the messaging trends of some people that those people are racist, I don’t personally believe this was their intention. It sounded to me as if they were using the trends to suggests that racism is behind the prejudices that shape attraction. Actually they didn’t really clearly state anything concrete. They were somewhat ambiguous and also I think accusatory and so I could understand why people would feel targeted and have responded emotionally, as if attacked.

While their data seems to suggest that black females are the least desirable and so will have the hardest time with online dating, I have had nothing but swift success with online dating here and elsewhere and so I’ve decided this assumption doesn’t apply to me and my hunch is they will only apply to those emotionally invested in it for whatever reason. Not saying that that the trends are bogus or untrue but that the assumptions drawn from the trends are open to interpretation and speculation.
